Spectra Training's Print Appreticeship's are designed to deliver the formal training component of an Australian Apprenticeship in Printing. During the course, participants will learn to apply solutions to a range of industry related problems, encompassing different equipment, systems and processes, and to analyse and evaluate information from different sources.
Participants will learn how to practically implement this learning in the workplace, affording them the opportunity to upskill and cross skill by developing their knowledge in Printing, Digital Printing, Print Binding, Finishing and Packaging and Prepress Graphic Design Production.
This qualification applies to individuals working as print machinists who typically set up and operate letterpress, lithographic, flexographic, gravure printing presses, digital printers and work on a range of printed products. They prepare material, monitor and run equipment and machinery and apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems. They may also provide guidance to others with some limited responsibility for the output of others. The Nationally accredited program is made up of 21 units that have been chosen by Spectra Training based on feedback from industry and our Subject Matter Experts.
